Boasting a creamier centre than other New Zealand camembert style cheeses currently available, the Marama has a delicate, subtle mushroomy rind which gives way to a luxurious fudge like centre. A cheese that develops flavour as it ages, the Marama comes in a convenient approx 140g wheel, which may or may not be enough for you and your guests to all get a taste because it's that moreish.
A sweet fruit paste, apricot, cherry, plum or apple pairs perfectly.
Wine / Beer match:
Pair with a delicate flavoured wine or beer, so as not to mask the flavours of the cheese. Pinot Gris, Riesling or Chardonnay would work well.
