Walnut Cream

Visible slivers of walnut punctuate this delightfully creamy Dutch style gouda.  savaoury and sweet fenugreek tones give the cheese a surprising caramel maple finish. Served on an afternoon, or pre-dinner cheese platter, this is a wonderfully different cheese, but is possibly best served as a dessert style cheese with some fresh fruit (apple or pear) or dried apricots or figs.  

Pair with:

A fruit paste or terrine. Goes well with dried fruit, figs and nuts

Wine / Beer match:

Match with a sweeter light white wine; Pinot Gris or off-dry Riesling.
