Goat Gouda

This young goat's Gouda has a delicate flavour with notes of white stone fruit sweetness, mild distinctive goat tang and a light creamy mouth feel. Made by master cheesemakers at Mercer Cheese, this is a beautiful young Goat's cheese that doesn't exhibit nuttiness or cabbage flavours that usually develop as Goat's cheeses age and mature.

Ideal for pairing with a lightly flavoured fruit paste. Quince, pear or apple jellies also compliment nicely.

Match with a light white wine; Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Dry Riesling, Albarino, or lighter red wine e.g. Pinot Noir
