Augustines of Central Black Doris Plums in Pinot Noir won the Earth category at the 2021 Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards. The judges loved the simplicity of ingredients and described Black Doris plums in pinot noir syrup as having “a lovely story of terroir’’.

The Black Doris plums are carefully grown by Matt at Moorpark & Mulberry Orchard in Cromwell. These black beauties are then hand-preserved by Gus of Augustines of Central in a Pinot Noir syrup, using wine from Penkridge Farm Wines - Central Otago.
