A smooth Dutch style cheese with a nutty finish, this maasdam is a medium-soft cheese with a gorgeous texture and flavour. A mild flavour profile, this cheese is very easy to eat and is enhanced by a sweet fruit condiment. As part of the ageing process the cheese develops large "eyes" created by carbon dioxide being released in the cheese making process which add an interesting texture and visual element to the cheese.
